Welcome
to our (very) brief photo tour of the Tradewinds Resort in St.
Petersburg, Florida, home to the annual TSC User Group meeting.
Please try to keep up with the group and pay attention to your
guide. Ready? Here we go.... |
 |
|
The Sign ~ No, I am not speaking of a religious "sign"
(though some consider their stay at the Tradewinds a near religious
experience), but rather I am referring to the sign that can
be found in front of the Tradewinds Resort. This photo has been
included because it was inspired by the antics of Joe "Dolphin"
Whittle. If you look very closely, you can see Joe swimming
among the dolphins, which he regularly does to the delight of
the User Group conference attendees. If you haven't seen Joe
perform his beautiful leaps and twists with a school of dolphins,
you must not miss the next User Group conference! |
 |
|
The Lagoon ~ This serenely beautiful lagoon is found
on the Tradewinds property. After you have finished a tough
day of cramming your brain full of fascinating facts and incredible
information at the conference, you can ease yourself into a
(free) paddle boat and gently float down the peaceful little
streams that embrace the resort. If that sounds like too much
work, for a fee you can arrange to have a gondolier paddle you
about while you sip from a glass of champagne and read Henry
David Thoroeu. |
 |
|
The Beach ~ Although the attendees of the User Group
conference are genuinely committed (wait, that doesn't sound
quite right...), the lure of the beach is sometimes powerful
enough to draw a few of them briefly away from their diligent
quest for knowledge. After a quick plunge in the warm soothing
surf, they return, refreshed and rejuvenated, to their studies
in the cool cloistered conference rooms. Of course, sometimes
they don't make it quite that far and they end up in
... |
 |
|
The Chairs ~ For free, you can rest regally
on your own personal throne (read chair) while you survey
the mighty
ocean. As the warm air caresses your skin, you can dream of
far away lands and of times long past. If you should indulge
in a cool beverage or two while in this manner engaged, perhaps
you will chance to see ancient pirate ships on the horizon,
returning home, their bellies filled with golden treasures. |
 |
|
The Bed ~ Ahh, the exquisite comfort of a large luxurious
bed. After a stimulating day of learning about the intricacies
of the TSC software system, of dining on delicious food prepared
by the Tradewinds' staff, of frolicing on the warm sandy beaches,
what could be better then slipping between the cool sheets
of
a comfortable bed? |
 |
|
The Sunset (Part I) ~ As the sun dips in the sky, plans
are being made. Soon a group of "party animals" will
begin the task of visiting as many of the beachfront bars and
nightclubs as possible. Oh, the tales that could be told of
their exploits! Oh, the superhuman feats that they have accomplished!
I could relate many a story that would certainly amaze you,
but you will never truly believe unless you experience the nighttime
revelry for yourself! |
 |
|
The Sunset (Part II) ~ Alas, not all of us are endowed
with the same endless reserves of energy as are others. For
us, there is the quiet walk along the beach at sunset. The gentle
sound of the surf as it laps against the shore. The cry of the
seagulls as they float on the breeze. The soft and surrounding
scent of salt and sea. The sensation of cool sand between toes.
The magic of a moment; a moment lived in the tradewinds. |
